OPPORTUNITY SPRINT

See what’s possible with what you already have.

We’re inviting all nonprofits in Gallatin County to apply to experience an Opportunity Sprint, on us.*

Kickstart a line item in your strategic plan before the new year. In just two focused days, your team will explore a real challenge while learning a repeatable process for uncovering insights, exploring ideas, and testing what could work.

Especially helpful for:
Organizations looking to strengthen their resilience, clarify what comes next, or better understand what’s working... and what could work better.

*Applications close Oct. 15, 2026

GET READY TO EXPLORE

Bring something you’re ready to see differently.

Maybe you’re looking for ways to engage volunteers beyond the annual event, rethinking an intake process that could be more welcoming, exploring how to better serve your community... Or maybe you have several ideas competing for attention alongside a new opportunity.

Bring a question, challenge, project, or idea. Curiosity is enough to get started.

LEARN BY DOING

A new way to approach what comes next.

Over two days, your team will learn the Obscura Ray process by putting it to work on a real opportunity within your organization.

Together, we’ll move through our design process to look beyond assumptions, uncover insights, identify opportunities, explore ideas, and learn through experimentation.

THE TANGIBLE VALUE

New perspective.
Practical tools.
Momentum to keep going.

What emerges will be different for every organization. You might discover that the opportunity isn’t where you thought it was. You might connect two ideas your team had been considering separately. Or you might find a simple way to test an idea before investing more time and resources.

And while we can’t predict exactly where two days will lead, you’ll leave with new ways to think, practical tools to use, and a process your team can return to again and again.

YOU'LL LEAVE WITH:

A repeatable process + practical tools

A way to approach future questions, challenges, and opportunities with greater confidence.

A clearer view of the opportunity

What you learned, what surprised you, and what may be worth exploring next.

Prioritized possibilities

Ideas and opportunities your team has surfaced and explored together.

Experience turning ideas into learning

Practice making an idea tangible enough to test, learn from, and evolve.

Momentum for what comes next

Greater clarity about where your team could go from here.

THE DETAILS

The focus is on you.

One Nonprofit, One Focus.

Every Opportunity Sprint is designed around one nonprofit and one focused opportunity, challenge, or project.

Two Days, Up to 10 Participants.

The Sprint takes place over two consecutive full days (to be coordinated with the recipient’s schedule) and includes up to 10 participants from your organization. We encourage bringing together a mix of perspectives –– staff, board members, and volunteers.

One In-Person Location.

The Sprint will be an in-person, hands-on workshop in Montana's Gallatin County. Details of the location will be confirmed when days and times are confirmed with the recipient.

Because navigating uncertainty isn’t about knowing exactly what comes next.

It’s about knowing how to find your way forward.

READY FOR WHAT'S NEXT?

Bring your curiosity.
We’ll bring the process.

Your team already holds valuable knowledge. By practicing how to listen differently, question assumptions, explore possibilities, and learn through experimentation, your team will build skills you can carry into 2027 — and the next opportunity after that.

Opportunity Sprint Value: $5,500.
Applications must be received by October 15, 2026 to be eligible. The receiving organization will be contacted by October 19, 2026.
